1 x 11kg upright , with guage , bottle
1 x 8 mm angled fill point
1 x fill point internal bracket
1 x fill point hose.... 1 metre , rubber free type
1 x POL adaptor nut for pigtail to bottle .

Question = how does the fill point hose attach to the bottle ???

One end of the hose ( chromed nut end ) attaching to the 8mm angled fill point is no problem ..... However ,,,,,, how does other end of fill point hose fit to bottle ? Bottle end of fill point hose only has a smooth thread free brass " tube" about 30-40mm ...... Rubber free fill point hose product description says it fits gasit bottles ...... does bottle end of the rubber free fill point hose require an adaptor of some kind to fit on bottle ? No extra adaptors or screw on etc bits came with fill hose .

Hi,

I am looking at upgrading my gas system. I currently have a 6kg Butane bottle with a clip on regulator.

I am fairly ignorant to gas issues so I need some advice!

Ideally I would like an underneath tank system but I am struggling to offset the cost/benefits compared to the twin upright cylinder versions.

My van is a self built (but not by me) Fiat Ducato 07.

On your web shop you have a twin 6kg bottle deal which seems a good price at approx £285. Unfortunately I can not fit the larger bottles so I must stick with the 6kg. I would like to be able to fill up with the external point and not have to worry too much about swapping bottles over, so I think I need an auto change over valve or something?

From what I understand, the two bottles are connected together and filled from the single filling point, but to use the gas with appliances without a auto switch over I would have to move the regulator from the empty/low bottle to the other?

Can you provide a price for everything I would need and maybe a basic overview of how the system is connected together so I can be sure it is as I understand.

I look forward to your response

Thanks,

Hh there, I've got a Compass Avantgarde 120 2007, its currently got a duel tank locker with a normal regulator and pig tail in there (as standard)

I'm going to fit an undermounted tank as we are going to use the van in Europe. The space I have is on the oposite side to the gas locker, i.e. on the passenger side. The space is 300mm heigh x 300mm wide and 1050mm long.

I see you have a full 20L kit on Ebay, could you change the tank size in this kit (as I presume I could fit the 25L tank with room to spare), and I was wondering what parts I also need, i.e. would I use a copper pipe from the passenger side to driver side? or can you get 3500mm long hoses? (What do you recommend?) also how does the pig tail fit to the tank outward hose? is there a connector?

It's worth remembering that while GPL in North European countries is almost entirely propane, this isn't always the case in the south. This only becomes an issue if bottle temperature gets below about 4 degrees Celsius, after which any butane will stay as liquid in your bottle. It might as well be water for all the good it will do you. Also, if you are using a lot of gas for heating, the bottle temperature will drop several degrees below air temperature making matters worse.

I've had this problem in a winter snowstorm in southern Italy where I think the mix may be about 50/50 in the south. And when I filled up in Crete, the man at the gas depot told me that the GPL there is only 10% propane.

Our NEW Micro GAS IT 30mb regulator and Change over valve all in one, is the latest product manufactured by top quality and super reliability manufacturers - Cavagna of Italy.

Its a small compact 30mb regulator with super small Automatic Changeover valve, all built in as one Micro unit ( you can't see the joint! ). Its already fitted with a 8mm copper compression outlet ( 10mm version also available ) has a test point and also a on and off valve ALL pre fitted to the body, so this unique item is dead easy to install and a great low price as well.

You can use it as a manual change over valve as well if you want!

You may be wondering when you see this picture if we have made a mistake, but this is really a Micro 30mb regulator and Automatic change over valve all built into one!

You can use it as a manual change over valve as well if you want!

It comes with ours and Cavagna's fantastic 5 yr Warranty and again, we don't make you buy new worthless and waste of time stainless steel hoses or new rubber hoses to get this warranty like others do

Comes with full instructions and mounting bulkhead bracket.

The pictures are a view of the front and side view of our NEW micro 30mb regulator and Automatic change over valve

And with a selling price of less than £34.00 including VAT what can be wrong with that?

I'm not sure if you all know but if you buy one of our New Micro GAS IT Regulators they come with a full 5 year warranty that does not need you to buy a expensive and pointless stainless steel hose to comply with the warranty as you have to with other brands.

The new Italian made GAS IT regulators come with a 8mm or 10mm Gas out fitting already fitted and sealed in the Regulator and it also comes in a Straight or Angled format which means its easier when replacing
any other make or space is tight and a premium. Check out the pictures attached to the post.

We and many regulator equipment manufacturers have done extensive tests and it is clear to see that the contamination is not due to the rubber pigtail hoses that you have on your Leisure vehicle.

Its clear to see the contamination is in the gas and mainly a fault with some brands of regulators - specificly and well documented the Truma / Gok ones.

For example, our GAS IT Ace Firenze Motorhome vapour tank has always been filled by copper fill hose, the gas out has always been via copper direct from the tank and has never had any rubber pipes fitted in the system. After 3 failed Truma regulators under warranty we replaced it with a GAS IT branded Cavagna Regulator and not had a single failure since, infact neither has any of our customers in any industry we supply them into.

In the Autogas Automotive industry all Equipment experieinced the same issues some years ago of contamination which was blocking up the filters we have in the gas systems, so again if you notice they all run with copper pipes as standard so the issue people are now seeing is that its nothing to do with hoses and rubber, its contamination in the gas.

So save your money, don't buy expensive and pointless stainless steel pipes and pigtails just to get your 5 year warranty on a new Regulator.

You can simply buy a GAS IT regulator from us and connect it your exisitng old rubbber pipes and not have any worries about warranty.

Did you know since we started supplying Cavagna Regualtors some 10 years ago we've not had any returned in or out of warranty.

By the way, there is a new smaller and more resistant GAS IT Cavagna Regulator which as well as being a super compact Regulator but comes fitted with a Automataic Changeover Valve - combined with a 30mb Regulator- now avalible from us, check out our webshop - http://www.gasit.co.uk/cubecart

Does anyone know of a installer near Birmingham who can do it?

I've just seen the new GAS IT bottles that are like the Gaslow ones but much lower in cost to gaslow or a underneath tank.

Would i be better fitting upright bottles or a underneath one as i don't need the extra space a locker with no bottles in will give me and the wife?

I'm more than happy with the tank i have on the Kontiki and only got that as there was no other good alternatives around when i had it originally fitted.
