From the first of April 2017 we are making some incredibly large enhancements to the full GAS IT operation and GAS IT HQ. These changes will help us continue into the future on the same firm footing that has led us to be the biggest seller of self-refillable gas bottles and gas tanks in the UK & Europe for several years.
We would like to be clear that these temporary works at GAS IT HQ will not affect our GAS IT Dealer support or trade order placing, New trade customers and their enquires or have any impact in our ability to continually offer our GAS IT Dealers and trade customers our regular next working day deliveries on all our product range as we currently do. GAS IT trade customers will continue as normal.
We had thought of doing all these changes and enhancements over a matter of months, but we decided to only make this disturbance once, so we are doing everything at the same time starting Saturday 1st of April.
This growth touches every single part of our GAS IT operation and includes changes within the building of GAS IT HQ, but its temporary impact will only touch retail customers wanting telephone sales and technical telephone advice, due to where staff moving offices internally. We are only asking that all retail customers to please contact their local GAS IT dealer and outlet as the first port of call with any product questions, pricing needs and supply options. If you need to contact us, our retail sales advice phone lines will temporarily be manned from 10am to 12pm Monday to Friday for the next few weeks. Emails received from retail customers will be answered promptly by return email. And don't forget we have our great video's and technical FAQ support knowledgebase and ticket advice system which is still manned for any customer during the works.
Any Orders placed directly on the GAS IT webshop will be processed automatically and will be shipped out the same working day, so they will experience no delay.
I'm sure you all will be interested in what we are doing at our GAS IT HQ. Well the list is very extensive but here are just a few of the more recognisable ones.
From the first of April we are making a start with moving the Warehouse around, allowing us to hold even more GAS IT stock than we currently do. We are also making a larger dedicated picking area, including implementing a new IT system for the 4 fulltime warehouse staff so they can work easier and even more efficiently to make sure that our GAS IT products are quickly picked and packed and continue to be dispatched the same day even with the growth in sales. To help back up our fulltime on the road GAS IT Businesses Development Manager, we are looking for a further 2 full time staff to join him in the Sales & Marketing department at GAS IT HQ. We are having a new state of the art internal phone system and IT enhancements fitted. We have just invested in a 3-D printer which is being sited alongside our in-house AutoCAD system, for future product development. We recently took on a full-time gas bottle and gas tank technician, who's job is to valve our gas bottles and gas tanks, test them and pack for dispatch, so we need to build their new assembly and test area. There are other project going on at the same time around at GAS IT HQ so everything is done once and all together.
