LPG by Design (GAS IT) Return policy


You are responsible for the costs of returning any unwanted item back to GAS IT.

It is recommended (although not compulsory) that you send the item via recorded delivery or signed for courier service so that you have a record of the returned item(s) with the Royal Mail or Courier, just in case the goods go missing or get damaged on their way back to us. We are not liable nor issue refunds for items lost, stolen or damaged whilst in transit to ourselves.

Please note that we cannot have any pressure vessel or any gas part that has been previously fitted, filled or used with gas returned due to the safety restrictions. 

You must notify us in writing (by email or post) and must return the goods back to us within 30 days from the date of purchase (The date on your invoice). If you want to return any goods after 30 days, then there will be a standard restocking fee of 15% deducted from your product purchase price. This restocking fee is due to the fact we will have automatically ordered more stock to cover your initial purchased item and we risk having excess stock on our shelves for some time which comes with an ongoing cost.

For your returns we ask if it’s possible for you to please email, as this will make recording your returns request easier for all parties, and with that email please include your download GR01 form above and put 'RETURNS' in your email subject line. We would also prefer if you also advised us why you want to return the item.

For any products that are dated by the manufactures in line with UK & EU LPG regulations and thus have an expiry date set in law (including hoses, tanks, bottles, fittings and regulators but not restricted to these) we are afraid that we cannot accept these items back after the 30 day from invoice.

Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 there is no right of cancellation once you have used the product unless it is defective, and you are returning the item for that reason.

We ask that all returned items are returned in an unused with full packaging and in a full sale able condition. Any unused, unwanted returns must be accompanied by their original packaging and copy of the invoice is included with the returned items. Goods that were manufactured or were a special order to your specification or where there may be hygiene issues or gas use issues can only be returned if there is a manufacturing defect.

We cannot accept any items back for refund that have been used or filled with gas

Goods that are returned in the original packaging but without any accessories, manuals, brochures, warranties or guarantees, which came with the product, will not be eligible for refund as they are deemed to be "in an incomplete state" and no refund will be given. You will be responsible for any costs to have these goods returned to you. Where the item has been removed from the original packaging you are responsible for repackaging them back in to the original packets to ensure the goods are returned in a full sale able condition.

If you buy anything which was part of a kit build up and should you want to change a single part of that specific part of the kit (egg, change the fill point from a straight to an angled version in a EASYFIT system) then you need to return all the parts in the kit that you paid for first. We cannot exchange a single part from a kit build up as our system will not allow it.

If items are being returned as faulty, please include a description of the defect(s).

You are responsible for paying any postage or shipping costs to return the unwanted item to ourselves, we cannot arrange collection. It is recommended, (although not compulsory), that you send the item via recorded delivery so that you have a record of the return. We are not liable nor issue refunds for items lost, stolen or damaged whilst in transit to ourselves.

If a postage loss or damage on your goods being returned to us occurs, you should attempt to claim compensation from the company that you chose to deliver the item.  We do not refund the initial delivery costs or charges incurred by you or us in the purchase of these or any of our goods. Even if the goods are bought with free delivery, there is a cost to us. This outward delivery cost shall not be refunded in your returned product refund price. Subject to the above, we will refund the full purchase price within 30 days of receiving your written notification of your intention to return the goods.

If you are wanting to change your previously purchased GAS IT part (purchased directly from us) for a new different item, then we will refund the previous part back to the same means of payment that you made (once they are returned back to us in a sale able condition), so you can purchase the new item directly on the GAS IT webshop or via one of our sales team at any time. We cannot simply swap the item for another, even if it’s the same cost, as our system does not allow it. We must issue a credit receipt for the returned item and refund the monies back to you.


So, to clarify; if the goods bought via this webshop, via email or on the phone are not wanted for any reason, it is your responsibility to return them to us and at your costs.
